The House of Switzerland, voted the best public viewing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, returns bigger to Rodrigo Freitas Lagoon for the 2016 Olympics! The popular Swiss meeting place already won the hearts of the people of Rio de Janeiro during the 2014 World Cup, becoming known to the Brazilian public as the Baixo Suíça. As one of the few Olympic guesthouses open to the public, the new 4,100 m² space will feature three houses and an attractive outdoor park located on the baseball field along the south-east shore of Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon near Corte do Cantagalo.

There is a public parking nearby Catacumba park, next to the paddle boat rental.
During the period 1-28 August, the city council may adopt some changes to ensure transit operations and public transport in the city. To date, these changes were not disclosed. Is likely to have changes in regular bus lines, because of prohibitions on the roads during the Games.
Olympic transportation card :
The city will have a transportation card that will be accepted in all transport modes used in the Olympics – BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), train, subway, VLT (Light Rail), buses, vans, ferries and the ski lifts of Alemão and Providência. The prices are: R$ 25 for 1 day, R$ 70 for 3 days and R$ 160 for a week. This will be the only option accepted on the line 4 of the subway.
